- (bo)'me = mother/Mrs./ma'am(s)

- (bo)ntate = father/Mr./sir(s)

- (bo)ausi = sister/girl(s)

- (bo)abuti = brother/boy(s)

- nkhono = grandmother

- lumela ("doo-may-lah") = hello

- Lesotho = the country

- Mosotho (Basotho) = person (people) from Lesotho

- Sesotho = the language

- Papa = cooked corn meal mash- like thick mashed potatoes

- Moroho = any leafy green, mostly swiss chard

-Kombi/Combi = 15-seater van taxi

-Sprinter = bigger taxi, like the size of half a bus

-4+1 = in-town taxi, a sedan holding 4 passengers plus one driver
